Step 1: Install a Web Browser  

We are using Google Chrome here for the example because it is the most popular and recommended browser. For installation: 

  1. Open Google Chrome website: google.com/chrome 
  1. Download for Ubuntu 
  1. Open the Downloaded file and install it. 

Step 2: Open Netflix in Browser 

  1. Open Google Chrome 
  1. Open Netflix Website: www.netflix.com 
  1. Sign in with your credentials

Step 1: Install Android Emulator: Waydroid 

  1. Open Terminal. 
  1. Use the following command.  
sudo apt install curl ca-certificates -y 

curl https://repo.waydro.id | sudo bash 

sudo apt install waydroid –y
  1. To Initialize Waydroid, Enter 
sudo waydroid init 

Step 2: Start Waydroid 

Start using this command 

waydroid session start 

waydroid show-full-ui

It will launch Android in a new window 

Step 3: Install Netflix Mod APK 

  1. Download the modded version from here in your Downloads folder. 
  1. Now execute the following command in Terminal. 
adb install ~/Downloads/your_app_name.apk 
  1. Replace the ‘your_app_name.apk’ with your file name. E.g. Netflix_mod.apk 

ADB needs to be installed for this command to work. If it is not installed, run: 

sudo apt install adb 

Step 4: Enjoy 

  • If you have done every step as described above, you should be able to launch the app successfully
